What to expect from your first hormone review

A first hormone review with us is a full hour. That is not a marketing line, it is a deliberate clinical decision. Hormones touch sleep, mood, periods, weight, libido, joints and bones, and a seven-minute slot cannot do that justice.

Before the appointment

We send a detailed questionnaire ahead of time so you can think through symptoms at your own pace. There is no need to bring blood results, although we are happy to read them if you have them.

During the appointment

The clinician walks through your history, current symptoms, family history (particularly breast cancer and clots), and what you are hoping treatment will change. Blood pressure and a brief physical review are taken where appropriate.

After the appointment

If HRT is suitable, a private prescription is issued the same day in most cases. We book a follow-up at three months to review how the body has settled, and adjust the regimen as needed. Care is collaborative, never one-and-done.
